Police Search for Perfume Burglar in Pompano

The thief used a dolly belonging to the business to transport $35,000 worth of perfumes into his van.

Police are searching for a man who stole tens of thousands of dollars' worth of perfumes from a store in Pompano Beach.

According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, a man attempted to break into Perfume Price, located at 2501 NW 34th Place, around 5:30 p.m. on November 23rd. The thief tried to use a crowbar to gain entry, but was unsuccessful. After trying to break in for five minutes, he gave up and drove away.

The man returned three hours later, and managed to break in on his second attempt. He used a dolly belonging to the business to transport $35,000 worth of perfumes into his van.

Deputies said the thief appeared to know exactly where the security cameras were, and used a dark-colored hoodie to hide his face. BSO described the burglar as a white male with a thin frame, wearing the hoodie, gray T-shirt and dark pants. He drove a white cargo van with the license plate obscured.
