Police Searching For Armed Robber Who Struck Multiple Broward County Locations

Police are searching for a man they say held up two couples at gun point last month in Lauderhill Lakes.

The first armed robbery took place around 9:30 PM on July 28th at the RaceTrac gas station located off State Road 7. The gunman approached a man near his car demanding the keys. When the man said he didn’t have them, the gunman lowered his weapon which allowed the victim to run away.

The gunman opened fire at the car, with the man’s wife inside, before running away. She was not hurt.

The second scene took place 30 minutes later at a Bank of America branch on Oakland Park Blvd. A man was approached by the same gunman – this time in a Toyota Corolla - while walking back to his car from the ATM. After pulling out his weapon and pointing it at the victim, he demanded money. The victim handed over his money and the gunman fled the scene.

Anyone with information on either case is asked to call Broward CrimeStoppers at 305-493-TIPS.
