Miami Police are investigating a late night armed home invasion in the Allapattah neighborhood that was caught on camera.

Officers arrived at the home off Northwest 25th Street and 13th Avenue around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday after the victim called and said an unknown man approached him outside the home.

The victim said he was pistol whipped by that man, who stole jewelry and cash and fled the scene.

The victim was treated for minor injuries and did not go to the hospital.

A security camera in the victim's home captured footage of the encounter with the armed suspect.

Investigators have not released information on the suspect, with unconfirmed reports saying may have been a Hispanic male around 5’7” who was dressed as a security guard and carrying a rifle.

Anyone with information is asked to call Miami Police or Miami-Dade CrimeStoppers.
