Police Seek Two More in Teen's Shooting

Suspects named in Liberty City shooting of 17-year-old and young niece

Miami Police have released the names of two suspects who they say shot a 17-year-old man in the head outside his Liberty City home, hitting his young niece in the gunfire.

Police are looking for 23-year-old Duslee "Black" Jones and 22-year-old Jean Francois Pierre.

Jones and Pierre were part of a trio of men who were involved in the shooting of James Taylor last week. Taylor was visiting his mother when he stepped outside and was shot. His 1-year-old niece was hit in the foot by a stray bullet.

Taylor suffered critical injuries, but his niece is expected to recover from hers.

The third person involved in the shooting, 16-year-old Luis Hernandez, was arrested and charged with attempted felony murder and aggravated assault with a firearm.

Meanwhile, more charges could be coming for a teen accused of shooting at Taylor just two days before he was gunned down. Police expect to charge Andrew Jackson, 18, in three other cases.

Police say Jackson shot at Taylor on July 31, near Northwest 13th Ave. and 62nd St., but missed. He's been charged with aggravated assault with a firearm.
