Police Urging Safety Around Bald Eagle's Nest in Pembroke Pines

A rare sight of a bald eagle’s nest in Pembroke Pines has brought out onlookers and concerns from police about make sure everyone stays safe.

In a Facebook message posted Thursday, officers showed photos of the nest located near U.S. 27 where two baby eagles are currently living with visits from their mother and father.

Officials remind residents that the animal is protected by state law and advise onlookers to stay a recommended distance of 330 feet away from the nest and never stand directly underneath it or within close view of the eagles – while also keeping pets away from the area and avoid making loud noises.
