Wanted Felon Caught on Camera Shooting at Father Outside of Pompano Beach

Authorities are looking for a felon who was caught on camera shooting at his own father outside of a Pompano Beach home over a dispute about money.

At around 5:45 p.m. on Jan. 4 near the 2500 block of 5th Street, surveillance video captured the moment QuanTez Rodney Baker drove by in an SUV and shot at a man and woman standing outside of the home, according to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office.

The man and woman can be seen running away from the bullets. Neither were injured, authorities said.

Detectives say Baker was driving a gray Mercedes GL350 SUV. They believe the shooting was over an argument about money.

Baker is a convicted felon who is currently on probation for charges of grand theft of a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon and resisting arrest, BSO said. He is currently wanted for attempted murder, aggravated assault with a firearm and shooting a missile into a dwelling.

Anyone with information should contact BSO Det. Timothy Metz at 954-321-4213. Anonymous tips can be submitted through Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-471-TIPS (8477). Tips that lead to an arrest are eligible for a reward up to $3,000.
