Pregnant Woman Robbed While Unloading Groceries: Miami-Dade Police

The Miami-Dade Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying and locating three suspects who are accused of robbing a pregnant woman while she was taking out groceries in the driveway of her home in southwest Miami-Dade.

According to police, the woman was retrieving groceries outside her southwest Miami-Dade home from the backseat of her SUV on May 29. In the middle of the task, surveillance video shows a silver 4-door Sedan pull up alongside the residence on Southwest 69th Lane.

The first subject exited the vehicle, and approached her wearing a mask and armed with a handgun. He allegedly stated, “Señora deme su cartera” (Ma’am give me your purse). Upon hearing this demand, the victim ran.

A second suspect then approached her, snatching her purse and pushing her to the ground. Once they took her purse, the suspects then got into the waiting getaway vehicle, which was driven by a third unknown suspect.

The suspects stole approximately $3,000. The victim, who was 5-months pregnant at the time of the attack, sustained minor bruising.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS.
