Publix Issues Recall for Popcorn Chicken Sold in Deli Over Fears of ‘Foreign Material'

Publix Supermarkets has issued a recall for one of their more popular deli items over a concern that it may contain a foreign material.

In a statement released Thursday, the company issued the voluntary recall for popcorn chicken sold both hot and in refrigerated cases at all Florida stores and in stores located in southern Georgia, Alabama and South Carolina.

The products, made by Pilgrim’s Pride under the name Pierce Chicken, were sold in stores from January 17th to the 31st. No other chicken items are impacted and all popcorn chicken sold starting Friday are safe according to the store.
