Rain in the Forecast For Mother's Day

As the NBC 6 First Alert Weather team has called for all week, a wet Mother’s Day forecast remains in the cards for Sunday.

Make your plans for indoor brunches, lunches and dinners as outdoor plans will be hampered by periods of wet weather for the duration of the day.

Rain shower chances will begin in the morning and ramp up throughout the afternoon hours, likely carrying into the evening before backing down.

Expect a cloudy and muggy day otherwise with highs in the lower 80s.

While severe storms are not anticipated, locally heavy rains are possible, with 1-2” of rain possible across the area by Sunday afternoon.

Unfortunately, the wet weather forecast will continue into the upcoming workweek. See the complete forecast here or anytime on the NBC6 news app.
