Police Seek Vero Beach Man in Suspected Killing of Wife

A man suspected of killing his wife in Vero Beach may be on the run in Broward County, according to the Indian River County Sheriff's Office. 

The victim, 45-year-old Vicky Torres, was found in her home at 7:45 a.m. Sunday, officers said. According to the sheriff's office, preliminary evidence has led investigators to believe Pedro Torres, the woman's husband, carried out the fatal attack.

The incident occurred in the 8100 block of 102nd Avenue. Officers say Pedro Torres fled to South Florida after the alleged murder.

He is believed to be in Broward County, driving a light green 2011 Toyota Sienna with the Florida tag Y06IVL.

Officers say he is believed to be armed and should be considered dangerous.
