Rescue Crews Respond to Warehouse Fire in Hialeah

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and Hialeah Fire officials responded to a warehouse fire in Northwest Miami-Dade Wednesday night.

About 50 firefighters were called out to the scene at Northwest 37th Avenue and 51st street around 7:30 p.m.

Firefighters said a dump truck, along with several wood pallets, were fully engulfed in flames when they arrived in the industrial area.

Officials said the owner of the business happened to be at the warehouse and noticed the fire when he called 911.

Fire crews said it could have been much worse, considering the business houses a large amount of wood. A business with a lot of chemicals is also right next door.

The fire marshal is now working to help investigate the cause of the fire.

No injuries were reported.
