Reward Offered in Shooting Death of Miami Man in Little Haiti

A reward of up to $3,000 is being offered for any information that may lead to an arrest in regard to a shooting that took place late Thursday night in Little Haiti and resulted in the death of a Miami man who worked with the Miami Democratic Party.

According to Miami police, Gonzalo Vizcardo was shot on November 7 around 1:15 a.m. near the intersection of North East Miami Place and East 55 Street.

Miami Fire responded to the scene to treat Vizcardo, but he was pronounced dead shortly after, according to police.

"The Miami Dade Democractic Party is deeply saddened to hear of the shooting in Little Haiti that claimed the life of one of our own," the party wrote on its Facebook page. "Gonzalo was a longtime member of the local Democractic Exchange Committee and was loved by all."

A GoFundMe was established to aid funeral costs.

Miami Police is asking that anyone with information regarding the incident call Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477 or the Miami Police Department Homicide Unit at 305-603-6350.
