Rider Allegedly Head Butts Bus Over $2 Fare

Authorities are searching for a passenger who allegedly took his frustration about additional bus out on the bus—literally.

Last Saturday at approximately 11:35 a.m. an unknown male exited a central Florida transit bus after the bus driver refused to make an additional stop without an additional $2 fare.

The rider allegedly became extremely agitated with the request.

The driver then exited the bus, locked the door, and went inside of the enclosed part of the terminal area.

The passenger sat on a bench for a while, and is reported to have walked away.

However at approximately four minutes later, the rider came back and took out his frustration on the bus by head butting the glass doors.

The suspect’s head shattered the glass.

As seen in the video, it appears as if the suspect knocked himself out for a few seconds.

The suspect then got up and made a clean getaway.

Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect is asked to call Officer Jodi Lott of the Winter Haven Police Department at 863-401-2256.
