School Bus Driver Accused of Sexual Assault on Child: Police

A school bus driver is under arrest for allegedly sexually assaulting a young girl inside a school bus on multiple occasions, according to Miami-Dade police.

The man, 44-year-old Enrique Napoles, was arrested Friday morning just after 2 a.m. It was unknown if he has an attorney.

The disturbing arrest report alleges that Napoles repeatedly attacked a 7-year-old girl on the bus at least ten times, the latest attack allegedly taking place on Monday between 2 and 2:30 p.m. inside the school bus.

The report claims that Napoles would lock the child inside the school bus then remove her clothing and sexually assault her.

"The young female apparently provided this information to family members who in turn contacted the investigators," Miami-Dade Police Det. Alvaro Zabaleta said. "Throughout the investigation they were able to learn that the victim used the bus transportation service to go to school."

Miami-Dade schools tell NBC 6 South Florida that Napoles is not an employee of Miami-Dade schools or a contractor.  Officials say he is employed by a private company, J&A Bus Service.

The owner of the service said she had no idea but is cooperating with the investigation.

Miami-Dade Police confirm that Napoles transports children for several area schools, including but not limited to:

  • American Senior High
  • Palm Springs North
  • Spanish Trace Lake Elementary School
  • Mater Academy
  • Lawton Chiles Middle School
  • Country Club Middle School
