Seminole Police Arrest Casino Arson Suspect

A man is under arrest accused of an arson attack that disrupted hundreds of people from having a good time at a South Florida casino.

Adenis Araujo, 43, is not allowed anywhere near the Seminole Casino in Coconut Creek after allegedly gambling with the lives of a lot of people.

A small fire on April 17th forced the evacuation of 1,400 people from the casino.

Prosecutors say Araujo allegedly had beef with the casino for kicking him out the week before after getting in an argument.

According to police, Araujo came back anyway and he came back for pay-back.

He allegedly placed a gasoline-filled orange juice container inside a West entrance door and lit the container on fire, scorching a wall and carpet area.

A quick-thinking casino patron saw the fire and put it out with a nearby fire extinguisher.

All casino guests were briefly evacuated and allowed to return once the smoke cleared and the casino secured.

Araujo is charged with first degree arson.
