Police are investigating after one person was killed and three others injured in a shooting in Overtown Friday, officials said.
The shooting happened just after 11 a.m. in the area of Northwest 2nd Avenue and 11th Street, Miami Police said.
All of the victims were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital where one of them died. The conditions of the wounded were unknown.
Police believe the shooting may have been drug related. Over 30 bullet casing markers were scattered all over the street.
Homicide investigators spent the afternoon talking to witnesses in the neighborhood where the gun violence struck in broad daylight.
"We are asking the public at this time, if anyone saw anything at the scene, to please contact Crime Stoppers," Det. Frederica Burden said.
The Crime Stoppers number is 305-471-TIPS.
