Severe Weather Watch for Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach Counties

A severe thunderstorm watch that was in effect for Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties ended Monday.

A tornado warning was also issued for northeastern Miami-Dade but it expired at 2 p.m. Locations impacted include Miami, Miami Beach, Hialeah, Surfside and Miami Gardens.

A funnel cloud was spotted near Miami International Airport and small hail was observed in the area of Hialeah, according to the National Weather Service.

The strong storm was moving across northeast Miami-Dade and Broward County with winds of up to 25 mph.

The storm is capable of producing nickel-sized hail and gusty winds.
