A man and 10-year-old child were shot in the parking lot of a Dave & Buster's entertainment center in Hollywood, according to police.
The shooting at the Dave & Buster's located on 3000 Oakwood Boulevard occurred Saturday night, the Hollywood Police Department said.
"It makes me not want to come back," said Nitza Fontanez, a woman visiting from West Palm Beach.
The man, who was pronounced dead Saturday evening, was identified as 30-year-old Jeancharles Freddie.
The child was transported with non-life-threatening injuries to Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital.
Officials said the man and the child were not related.
NBC 6 has made several attempts to contact Dave & Busters, but we have not heard from them.
Officials are hoping that surveillance video in the area will help them find the person responsible for the shooting.
