This year you’ll have fewer days to take advantage of tax-free savings. Florida’s sales tax holiday begins at 12:01 AM Friday and ends at 11:59 PM Sunday.
Tax-exempt items include clothing, footwear, and certain accessories selling for $60 or less. You can also buy baby clothes, book bags, uniforms and diapers tax-free.
School supplies that cost $15 or less are also tax-exempt, but you won’t be able to stock-up tax-free on computer paper or staplers.
The biggest change this year involves personal computers and computer-related accessories. Last year, the first $750 of the sales price were tax-free. This year, you’ll have to pay sales tax on the full amount.
The tax-free holiday applies to purchases made at stores and online.
