Shorthanded Heat Struggle in Loss to Bucks

The Heat fell for the fifth time in six tries with their loss to the Bucks on Tuesday

The Miami Heat were unable to overcome a wrath of injuries in their 91-79 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday.

The loss was the fifth for Miami in its last six games and things will not be getting any easier. After a long road trip, the Heat will head back out onto the road following just one home game.

The Heat once again found themselves without the services of Goran Dragic, Josh McRoberts, Chris Andersen and Beno Udrih. The quartet is battling various injuries with Dragic's loss having the largest impact. Without Dragic or Udrih to step in, head coach Erik Spoelstra has had to patch the lineup together.

Spoelstra once again gave the starting gig to Tyler Johnson and that did not go too well in this one. Johnson quickly picked up two personal fouls and landed on the bench. After returning to the game, it wasn't long until Johnson added a third foul before the half. To top it off, the guard also had three turnovers which equaled his point total for the game.

Due to Johnson's foul trouble and lack of productivity, Josh Richardson saw some extra time on the court. Richardson ended up playing 30 minutes in which he struggled mightily. The guard does not typically play many minutes and his rust was evident. Richardson scored three points on 1-8 shooting.

The only bright spot for Miami in the loss was the play of Hassan Whiteside. The center posted yet another double-double with 23 points and 18 rebounds.

The Heat will not have much time to think about this loss as they will be right back in action on Wednesday night. That game against the Washington Wizards will be the start of a five-game road trip.
