Singer Wins $100K Dream Casino Job

Local woman beats out more than 100 contestants to be Seminole Casino Hollywood's new spokeswoman

Performing in front of a crowd is nothing new for Tonya Traylor. Now the Miami Gardens singer is going to earn good money being the front woman for a local casino.

Traylor bested more than 100 other contestants to win Seminole Casino Hollywood's "Dream Job Giveaway" as the gambling hall's new spokeswoman.

Traylor was declared the winner Tuesday after her final pitch impressed judges, including celebrity guest Jimmie "JJ" Walker.

"I’m still floating," Traylor said after the win. "I think I am going to float right out of here.”

Along with the new gig, Traylor will be paid $100,000, get a free car and gas for a year and will receive a shopping spree at Macy's, not a bad perk for a former first runner-up in the Miss Black America Pageant.
