Bus drivers across South Florida can finally return to work without fear after a slap-happy bus rider was caught Wednesday.
Nikita Cassandra Cazeau, 20, has been arrested and charged with battery after she was identified as the woman on surveillance video slapping a Broward County transit bus driver silly who didn't give her a free ride.
Video of the October incident was released last week and a Broward Sheriff's Office deputy recognized Cazeau from the footage.
Cazeau admitted that she was the angry bus rider in the video, but said she didn't remember slapping the bus driver, 72-year-old Tassos Kostopoulos.
Cazeau's apartment is near where the attack happened. In the video, she can be heard yelling at Kostopoulos, who was trying to get her off the bus. When he pointed out the camera to the irate woman, Cazeau turned violent and slapped him so hard his glasses flew off his face.
She then jumped off the bus and walked away.
Now Cazeau got the free ride from a county employee that she was looking for, but not quite the one she wanted.
