Slight Chance of Showers Sunday Afternoon

Breezy all day Sunday with highs in the mid-80s

Partly sunny today with a few showers possible (Published Sunday, May 13, 2012)

Sunday is starting out with temperatures in the mid-70s, but with plenty of sunshine to start the day.

A strong Easterly breeze is pulling in a few showers off the coast Sunday morning, so watch the sky through the day.

A few isolated showers will be pulling in, but they will be spotty in nature.

Sunday night will drop down to the mid-70s, with a slight chance of overnight showers.

Beginning Monday, a westerly flow will take over, causing the chance of afternoon storms to pick back up.

After a short break from the stormy afternoons, they will be back this week. Highs will be warming to the upper 80s by mid-week.

There is also a small disturbance in the northeast Atlantic. The National Hurricane Center has put a 40 percent chance of development during the next 48 hours. Nothing to worry about, but it’s worth mentioning, as hurricane season about two weeks away and may start early this year.
