2 in Custody After Reported Threat at South Broward High School

Two people are in custody after a report of a threat toward South Broward High School led to a lockdown Tuesday.

Hollywood police said all of this began at around 2 p.m. with an altercation between students. Another student saw a weapon and reported it to their parent, who told law enforcement.

Officers locked down the building and kept students inside. Everyone was let out around an hour later when police cleared the situation.

There were no reported injuries and no shots were fired, police said.

The two people in custody, who have not been identified, are being questioned.

Police say they found a BB gun in one of their backpacks.
