South Florida Nun Scores Ticket to Super Bowl LII

Eagles fan Sister Margaret Fagan in Minneapolis for big game

A South Florida nun who's a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan is getting the chance to see her team in action thanks to her students' parents.

Sister Margaret Fagan from Epiphany Catholic School of Miami will be in the house when her beloved Eagles take on the New England Patriots in Minneapolis Sunday.

Fagan, a familiar face to the Catholic community in Miami, is getting the full VIP treatment in Minneapolis, taking a tour of Mall of America on Saturday ahead of the big game.

The parents of Fagan's students surprised her with a ticket, airfare and a hotel for the Super Bowl as a way of saying thanks.

"All the sudden there was an envelope in there, I opened it up, that I didn't faint was amazing, I opened it up and there was a ticket to see the Eagles here in Minneapolis," Fagan said. "I was shocked, I was totally totally shocked."

Fagan, whose office at school is stocked with Eagles paraphernalia, said she grew up rooting for the team in Philadelphia. Every Sunday, her family went to church, then breakfast, then home to watch the Eagles.

"We all had special seats, we sat there and prepared for the game," she said.

She even has a prediction for the game: 33-17 in favor of the Eagles. If that holds true she says there'll be a parade at the school.

"Words can't express how grateful I am to the families there. I am so blessed to serve the families there, to serve the children and teachers," she said.
