A South Florida woman was arrested for allegedly prostituting a young girl in a human trafficking ring.
36-year-old Mariela Alejandra Perez is behind bars after authorities say she and her boyfriend were allegedly involved in the underground world of human sex trafficking.
A Miami human trafficking task force conducted an undercover operation where the victim was identified in backpage.com.
According to the arrest report, Perez benefited from the cash payments of prostitution from the victim.
The victim also stated that Perez would drive her around town to have sex with clients.
Perez has been released from jail.
Authorities say she admitted to transporting, coordinating and scheduling the victim for the purpose of escorting but didn't have any knowledge of actual "sex acts."
NBC 6 was unable to reach Perez for comment.

Police are looking for Yamir Gorritz Ramirez, who they believe was involved in the sex ring.
