2 Hurt in Stabbings at 2 Metromover Stations in Downtown Miami

Police say stabbings happened at different Metromover stations about 11 minutes apart

Police were investigating two separate stabbings at Metromover stations in Downtown Miami that sent two people to the hospital Friday.

The first stabbing was reported at the station near the Stephen P. Clark Government Center at 111 Northwest 1st Street, Miami-Dade Police said.

About 11 minutes later, a second stabbing was reported at the station at 11th Street and Northeast 2nd Avenue, police said.

Both victims were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center in stable condition.

Officials haven't confirmed that the stabbings are related.

Christopher Coleman, 27, was arrested in connection with the stabbing on Northeast 2nd Avenue on Saturday, police said. He was charged with aggravated battery and carrying a concealed weapon.

The incidents remain under investigation.
