3 Hospitalized as Officials Investigate Stabbing at Miami Apartment Complex

Footage from witnesses showed blood on the floor and walls in the building's garage and lobby

Officials are investigating a stabbing Wednesday night at an apartment complex in Miami that left three people hospitalized.

It happened around 9:30 p.m. in the area of Biscayne Boulevard and 25th Street, according to the Miami Police Department.

Officials said a group of people were involved in a dispute that escalated quickly, and three men were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital with apparent stab wounds. All three were in stable condition.

Police haven't released any other details on what led up to the stabbings.

Miami Police Cmdr. Freddie Cruz described the scene as "chaotic," but wouldn't confirm if any knives were found.

"We are reviewing lots of cameras in the area, lots of witnesses," Cruz said. "There was lots of traffic on Biscayne Boulevard."

A friend of one of the victims told reporters at the scene the incident happened in the parking garage of the apartment complex. He did not specify what led up to the stabbings but said everyone involved knew each other.

Footage from witnesses showed blood on the floor and walls in the building's garage and lobby.

"If someone knows anything, please come forward so we can put this puzzle together and put this person or persons responsible for this crime behind bars," Cruz said.
