Stoneman Douglas Grads Receive Free ‘MSD Strong' Sashes

Seniors at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School will be wearing special "MSD Strong" sashes and lapel pins when they graduate in June that have been donated free of charge.

Chuck Puleri, owner of Chuck Puleri and Associates and a representative for Herff Jones in Broward since 1992, is donating 1,100 sashes and 17,500 lapel pins to MSD for the graduates.

The gold sash has "MSD" on one end and "STRONG" on the other with a ribbon and the school's mascot, an eagle. The lapel pins also are ribbons that say "MSD Strong."

Graduation for Stoneman Douglas students is scheduled for June 3 at Nova Southeastern University, less than four months after 17 people were killed in the Feb. 14 mass shooting at the school.
