Student With Knife Cuts Classmate at Piper High in Sunrise

A student suffered a minor injury after he was cut by another student who brought a knife to Piper High School in Sunrise Monday, officials said.

Sunrise Police said officers responded to the school at 8000 Northwest 44th Street after two students got into an altercation. One of the students, a 10th grader, was armed with a knife and cut the other student's finger, causing a minor cut.

The student with the knife ran from campus but was quickly caught and detained.
