Sunrise police on Wednesday released the name of the man found shot to death on the property of Springtree Golf Club earlier this week.
Adika Heslope, 34, whose last known address was in North Lauderdale, was the man killed in the shooting about 4 a.m. Monday near a strip mall in the 3700 block of North University Drive, police said.

An officer on patrol heard the shots from a few blocks away and found Heslope’s body on a golf course behind the strip mall, police said. Two vehicles riddled with bullet holes were found in the strip mall’s parking lot, police said.
