Video: Group Trashes Davie 7-Eleven, Throws Bananas at Clerk

Surveillance cameras captured a group of people going on a rage-filled vandalism spree at a 7-Eleven in Davie, tipping over display racks, smashing computers and throwing bananas at the store clerk.

This happened at around 1 a.m. May 5 at the convenience store on State Road 84. According to the Davie Police Department, a group of four males and one female started the chaos after they thought the clerk said something to one of their girlfriends.

They began by throwing the fruit, police said, and the clerk locked himself inside an office and called 911.

They tipped over racks, threw merchandise and containers everywhere, and one person is even seen punching and smashing the front glass window.

When police showed up, the suspects were gone, but one of them left his wallet at the scene, but he came back with another one of the subjects to look for it, Davie police said.

The two men, identified as Jacob Jones and Damon Parotta, were taken into custody and arrested, police said.

The pair claimed they didn't know the people who were with them, but police are asking anyone who recognizes the other individuals to contact Davie police at 954-693-8200 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-494-TIPS (8477).
