A man wanted for stealing expensive Rolex watches from a jewelry store in Surfside is now behind bars.

Surfside Police said 27-year-old Pedro Cuellar Valdes robbed Gray and Sons Jewelers, located at 9595 Harding Avenue, nearly two weeks ago. Surveillance footage captured Valdes stealing two watches valued at $56,000.

Valdes was arrested by Hialeah Police at 2 a.m. Sunday morning during a routine traffic stop. He faces several charges, including grand theft, possession of cocaine, fraud, and probation violations. He is being held without bond at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Institution.

It is unclear if Valdes has an attorney.
