Suspect Identified in South Miami Double Shooting: Police

South Miami Police have identified a man they say was responsible for a double shooting in South Miami in November.

An active arrest warrant has been issued for 25-year-old Lamar Edward Joseph, also known as "Choppa," in connection with the Thursday, Nov. 5th shooting. Police say he's also wanted on unrelated charges of battery on a pregnant woman.

According to police, Joseph rode a bicycle to the area of 67th Street and Southwest 58th Avenue at 7:25 p.m. and shot two victims multiple times, injuring them both.

Joseph is wanted on two counts of premeditated murder in connection with the double shooting, as well as the separate battery charge.

He is 5-feet 11-inches and weighs 180 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
