Suspect Robs Woman at ATM in Pompano Beach

A surveillance camera clearly captures the armed robber holding a gun to the woman’s head

Surveillance video released Friday shows an armed robber approach a woman at an ATM in Pompano Beach, point a gun to her head and force her to make a cash withdrawal, according to officials.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office said the suspect robbed the woman around 10:15 p.m. on July 30 at the Wells Fargo bank located at 3885 N. Federal Highway.

The victim told officers she heard a car pull up to the parking lot, blocking her car in. Before she realized what was happening, the suspect, sporting a leather jacket, ran up to hear and held a gun to her head, the BSO said.

According to a release, the woman was forced to make a withdrawal at gunpoint. The suspect then fled in a red Chevrolet sedan with dark tinted windows. The suspect was wearing a stocking over his face and beige gloves.
