Zachary Haedo, 21, was taken into custody by Miami Springs Police Friday. It's unknown what exact charges he'll face.

"We had information that this individual was staying with his mother in the City of Miami Springs," Davie Police Sgt. Mark Leone said.

The incident happened Sept. 22 at the Toscana Apartment complex at 5971 Toscana Drive, Davie police officials said.

The victim and a friend were drinking coffee when the man hit him in the head and face twice with the pool cue, police said. "Do you remember what you did to my sister?" the suspect yelled at the juvenile, according to police.

Surveillance video showed the suspect playing pool nearby with another man just before the attack.

The juvenile, who was hospitalized after the attack, told police he doesn't know the man or anyone who is his sister.

"The juvenile did require staples in his head, surgery to his face," Leone said.
