Suspects Get Stiff Prison Time for String of Pharmacy Robberies

Trio robbed at least pharmacies in less than two hours in 2007

In the span of two hours, Timothy Johnson and Deitrick Johnson stole over $20,000 during a violent crime spree.

Now they will likely spend the rest of their lives behind bars.

Timothy Johnson, 36, was sentenced to life in prison for the 2007 armed robberies and Deitrick will spend the next 50 years locked down.

In December, both were found guilty of eight counts of armed robbery. A third person involved in the robberies, Gerald Joshua, turned state's evidence in return for a lesser sentence.

He is serving a 12-year bid.

Prosecutors told jurors the trio wore masks and brandished guns as they terrorized employees and customers at pharmacies in Lauderhill, Margate and Coconut Creek in 2007. Joshua was the first to be caught and gave up his accomplices.
