Suspects Sought After Puppy Stolen From Miami-Dade Home

Police say a man and his accomplice stole a puppy from a home in southwest Miami-Dade, and now they're looking for the dog and the suspects.

The theft happened back on Feb. 27 around 3:30 a.m. at a home on Southwest 39th Street, Miami-Dade Police officials said Wednesday.

According to police, the victim, Danaisy Rodriguez, listed the American Bulldog for sale on Craigslist. A man responded to the ad but after checking out the puppy, told Rodriguez he wasn't interested in purchasing the pet.

Surveillance footage later showed the suspect climbing over Rodriguez's fence and removing the kennel containing the puppy from her back patio. Police said the suspect and his accomplice fled in a black BMW 4-door sedan.

The puppy is male and white in color with brown spots on his ear, face and tail. Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
