Authorities were searching for a swimmer who went missing in the ocean off Fort Lauderdale Beach Thursday.
The swimmer reportedly went under and didn't surface in the waters near the 3500 block of Galt Ocean Drive, Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue officials said.
Divers were in the water and police nautical units and air rescue units were assisting in the search.
The water was searched for more than an hour and nothing was found, officials said.
No other information was immediately known.
