Tallahassee Man Arrested in Fatal Pompano Beach Shooting

A Tallahassee man accused of shooting and killing another man in Pompano Beach was behind bars Wednesday.

Seth Johnson, 34, has been arrested in the Aug. 25 shooting of 31-year-old Patrick Jean, Broward Sheriff's Office officials said.

Johnson was extradited from a Leon County Jail to Broward County Tuesday. It's unknown if he's hired an attorney.

Jean was playing dominoes with friends in the courtyard of 616 Northwest 5th Avenue when a vehicle pulled up and someone inside pulled out a gun and opened fire, hitting Jean, authorities said.

Friends rushed Jean to Broward Health North Medical Center where he later died.

Detectives located and arrested Johnson in Tallahassee three days after the shooting. He has remained behind bars since the arrest.

The exact charges against Johnson were unknown.
