Tampa-Area Daycare Worker Dumped Water Over Head of 3-Year-Old Boy With Autism: Deputies

Tiffany Littlepage is accused of throwing water on the head and face of a 3-year-old with autism because he was playing with her water bottle.

An employee at a day care center near Tampa is accused of abusing a 3-year-old boy with autism by dumping water on his head and throwing water in his face.

Pasco County deputies arrested 34-year-old Tiffany Littlepage following the incident at the Children's Nest Day School located in Lutz, Florida, roughly 15 miles north of Tampa.

Littlepage was accused Tuesday of dumping water on the boy's head and forcefully throwing water in his face because the boy was allegedly playing with her water bottle, deputies said.

Deputies said the toddler has autism and is non-verbal. A police report indicates that the boy began crying and had to be comforted by another teacher.

According to the report, another employee at the day care said Littlepage routinely targeted children with disabilities by putting them in time-out and punishing them unjustly.

Littlepage was arrested and charged with one count of child abuse. It is not known whether she has hired an attorney.
