Tampa-Area Man Kicked, Punched, Bit 11-Month-Old Baby: Police

A Tampa-area man who police say kicked, punched and bit an 11-month-old baby, leaving him with severe bleeding on his brain, is on the loose.

According to a report from the Pinellas Park Police Department, the baby was admitted to All Children's Hospital in Tampa with a severe head injury on Sunday. Investigators determined that there was probable cause to arrest 30-year-old Glen Neal Jr. His relationship to the child is not immediately known, but police say Neal was in the child's home and was responsible for the child's care and custody.

Police say Neal kicked, punched and bit the baby boy, resulting in serious head trauma. The baby remains hospitalized in serious condition with bleeding on his brain.

Investigators say they have probable cause to arrest Neal and charge him with attempted murder.

Neal has a violent criminal history, including child neglect, resisting arrest, fleeing to elude police, cocaine possession and battery on a law enforcement officer.

Anyone with information on Neal's whereabouts is asked to contact Crime Stoppers of Pinellas County at 1-800-873-TIPS.
