Teen Arrested After Pompano Beach Stabbing That Left Victim on Life Support

A 16-year-old was arrested in a Pompano Beach stabbing last month that resulted in the victim being placed on life support in an area hospital.

The teen, whose name NBC 6 is not releasing at this time, was arrested on Friday and faces several charges that include attempted second-degree murder and battery.

According to an arrest report, the teens were involved in an argument on April 27th at a home off Northeast 9th Avenue when the suspect stabbed the victim several times before fleeing the scene – ending up at an area hospital where police found him with a knife.

According to a police report, witnesses say several people told the suspect to get out of the car as they were leaving the home. As he left, the suspect allegedly going into an argument and attempted to grab a female passenger before the driver got out and confronted him before being stabbed.

That victim was rushed to Broward Health North Hospital and was placed on life support after losing a massive amount of blood. During a Monday hearing, prosecutors said the victim’s family is deliberating whether to amputate his leg as a result of the incident.
