A teen fell to his death from the ninth floor of his Miami Beach condominium as he was trying to climb down a balcony Tuesday night, police said.
Samuel Isaac Farkas, 15, was trying to get into his apartment at the La Costa building at 5333 Collins Avenue when the incident happened, according to a Miami Beach Police report.
The report said Farkas was locked out of his unit on the eighth floor and was trying to scale down the outdoor balcony from the ninth floor when he lost his grip and fell. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Farkas would have turned 16 on Wednesday, according to the report.
