Teen Jumps Through Window of Home and Attacks Residents, High on Drugs: Police

Police say a 19-year-old has been hospitalized after hurling himself through the window of home and attacking residents in Stuart on Sunday.

Martin County Sheriff's Office says they were responding to a 911 call early Sunday morning at a home in Stuart.

According to WPTV, when deputies arrived, they found the 19-year-old male being held down by the homeowner's adult son. MSCO says that the teen was high on drugs at the time of the attack. The intruder displayed extreme strength and a high tolerance to pain during the fight and the homeowner and her son struggled to control him. The victim struck the intruder in the head with a baseball bat several times.

Authorities managed to restrain the intruder. Fire rescue crews transported the man to a local hospital where he is in critical, but stable condition

During their investigation, deputies say they interviewed the intruder's friend, who said they had ingested methylone and acid.

The female resident was injured by glass during the attack and was hospitalized, but has since been released. Her son was unharmed.
