A 16-year-old was hospitalized after being shot in the leg early Saturday morning.
The shooting occurred at Southwest 10th Avenue and 5th Street in the Little Havana neighborhood of Miami.
Eddy Penalver was walking with friends early Saturday, when a man started shooting at them, firing around eight times, witnesses said.
Penalver was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital and is expected make a full recovery. The teen is currently a student at Booker T. Washington High School.
According to witnesses, the shooter took off in a black car.
Police are still searching for the suspect. The motive behind the shooting is not known at this time.
