Teenagers Burglarize Gainesville Restaurant and Cook Food: Cops

The teens face burglary and petit theft charges.

Police say they arrested two teenagers who broke into a Gainesville take-out restaurant and cooked chicken gizzards.

Police were alerted to the China House restaurant when the two 14-year-olds activated the burglar alarm. The boys face burglary and petit theft charges after the Saturday incident, according to Cpl. Angelina Valuri of Gainesville Police.

"We assume that because they were unable to locate any money from the business that they decided to cook food," Valuri said.

The cases will be handled in juvenile court, according to the Gainesville Sun.
