Terminal at Miami Int'l Airport to Close Early Due to Government Shutdown

A concourse at Miami International Airport will be closing for half a day this weekend due to the government shutdown.

The concourse G TSA checkpoint will close beginning Saturday at 1 p.m. and will reopen for flights on Sunday morning. The same schedule will remain in effect through Monday.

All flights that were previously scheduled to depart from Concourse G on Saturday through Monday will be relocated either to Concourse F or H. Those set to fly out of Miami International Airport this weekend should check with their airlines for the latest information on their flights.

An increased number of TSA screeners are not reporting to work due to the government shutdown.

Approximately 51,000 TSA officers are among the 800,000 government employees who are either working unpaid or on furlough.
