Miami Auditions for the Marriage Ref

Auditions run through Tuesday.

Local couples hoping to make their home a sweet home instead made their way to the Home Design and Remodeling Show in Miami Beach, where they ignored advice on kitchen re-dos and headed straight for the audition room.

NBC's The Marriage Ref is entering its second season, and creator Jerry Seinfeld is looking for husbands, wives, and the quirkiest issues in South Florida -- even at the Home Design and Remodeling Show.

Married Miamians were lining up to air their personal gripes to supervising producer Sandra Philippeaux, the person with the power to eventually place them before a panel of celebrity judges to get a ruling on who's at fault and how to solve their problems.

It is akin to professional counseling? Not on your life.

"It helps them stop arguing," said Philippeaux.  "Is it therapy? Absolutely not. Jerry is a comedian. He loves comedy and he sees a lot of humor in marriage as he's been married ten years."

Interested couples can show up to the casting call booth at the Home Design and Remodeling Show in Miami Beach through Tuesday.  The second season of the "Marriage Ref" airs in January of 2011.
