Thieves Steal 5 Cars From Fort Lauderdale Dealership: Police

Police are investigating after five cars were stolen from a Fort Lauderdale dealership early Monday.

The burglary happened just after 4 a.m. at Arion Motors at 1306 N. State Road 7, Fort Lauderdale Police said.

Police said five suspects broke into the dealership's office and took the keys for five cars: a red 2010 Audi A4, a black 2006 Lexus IS, a grey 2008 Nissan Altima, a silver 2007 Infiniti M35 and a black 2006 Mercedes CLS.

During the burglary, the thieves used another car to drive through the gate then left that car at the scene, police said. Part of the burglary was caught on surveillance cameras.

Three of the cars - the Altima, M35 and CLS - were later recovered in Broward County, officials said. Detectives were able to find the cars because they were installed with OnStar, officials said.

The thieves are believed to be teens and officials said five other dealerships in the area have been broken into in the past five months.

Police said they're conducting an active investigation.
